SERBIA and MONTENEGRO:

SEIM has been following the development of Serbia since the mid 1990s. Years of studies in Serbia and yearly visits and field trips to Serbia makes SEIM Analytics in a good position to offer political briefings and assessments, historical research, and business-related evaluations to clients.

• 1995: Interviewing Srdja Popovic, later head of Canvas, in 2011 proclaimed one of the 100 most influential persons of the world in Forbes Magazine.

• 1995: Interview (December) with the commissioner for refugees of Republika Srpska. In 1995-2000 the biggest refugee group in the Western Balkans were Serbs from Krajina/Croatia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, and Kosovo-Metohija (from 1999).

• Some 25 reportages and political/election commentary in Norwegian, Danish, and Serbian newspapers from or about Serbia, Republika Srpska / Bosnia. Go to list in media section here!

• Following the Kosovo conflict from the ground in Belgrade with trips to Kosovo (1998-2002).

• Observing the velvet revolution in Belgrade on 5 October 2000, later following the DOS decade until Nikolić and SRS/Vučić in power (2010-11 to 2024-25 student demonstrations).

• Decades of studying of Bosnia / Republika Srpska from the ground 1996 to 2003, and later through OSCE work (2010, 2022) and PhD studies with fieldwork (2010-2014) in Sarajevo, Kotor Varoš, Petrovo, Brod, Banja Luka, Mostar.

• Observing the rapid transformation of Serbia and its stalled EU integration process.
